Kinetic Wellness

KW classes focus on building fitness skills for lifetime health.

Our program includes an emphasis on personal fitness, team activities and individual activities, with a variety of advanced options for juniors and seniors. In addition, students complete the state requirements for fitness testing.

At Elmwood Park High School, a student must earn 4.0 credits in kinetic wellness (formerly physical education) if he or she is a member of the Class of 2023. Students in the Class of 2024 and beyond must earn 2.0 credits.

Our kinetic wellness instruction is aligned with the Illinois Learning Standards for Physical Development and Health.
