Elmwood Park High School Academic Departments
The academic departments of Elmwood Park High School offer more than 100 courses to meet the needs and interests of our students.
These courses are fully aligned with Illinois Learning Standards and, where applicable (i.e., English language arts and mathematics), with Common Core Standards.
Through the use of pathway courses and related electives, the EPHS curriculum is designed to fully integrate our students into District 401's seven-year Career & College Pathways program, which spans grades 6-12.

College & Career Pathways
In conjunction with Elm Middle School, EPHS offers courses within the framework of College & Career Pathways. This is a District 401 initiative focused on better aligning high school and middle school curricula with the post-secondary pursuits of our students.
The goal of the College & Career Pathways is to better prepare D401 students to compete and succeed in the global economy.
With the help of aligned programs of study and pathway exploration, students will graduate with well-developed post-secondary plans, stronger experiential learning opportunities and a diverse set of skills suited for academic and career success.
